Windshield Heat-Low STC

Restore your Twin Commander's windshield heating capabilities with the National Flight Services Windshield Heat STC!

The original installation of the windshield heating system involved two 30 amp fuses. Over time, corrosion causes this set up to put out a reduced amount of voltage to the “low setting” of the windshield heat causing insufficient heat to do the job. Running the system constantly on a high setting may result in “cooking” the windshield which causes a milky or yellowing coloration. By installing a circuit breaker, which the STC calls for, full system voltage is restored and the windshield will heat to the proper temperature on both the high and low settings.

This STC is inexpensive and relatively easy to install.
