Conquest II (SID) News With a few inspections under our belt, we thought it appropriate to share some valuable information knowing how important these inspections are to Conquest II owners and operators.
The initial information from Repair Stations, right after the announcement by Cessna, was only an educated guess as to what needed to be done, how it was going to be done, how long it was going to take, etc… Actual inspections have generated the following findings: We have discovered minor to medium structural repairs, none involving unattainable parts or impossible repairs. The actual inspection is taking from four to five weeks. This does not include discrepancies, repairs, Modifications, or evaluation time from Cessna Engineering or DER authorization. What’s involved: The work scope involves a major disassembly of the airframe with close inspections involving NDT.
Exterior: The wings do not have to be removed. However, the horizontal and vertical stabilizers do need to be removed. Wing de-icing boots need to be removed as well to allow proper inspection of the surface beneath. The complete landing gear must be removed and disassembled for inspection.
Interior: The complete interior, including the instrument panel. Office: (419)865-2311 Customers will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis! FAA, EASA, Venezuelan, & Brazilian Authorized Repair Stations |
